European Championships 2022 – Munich, Germany
One week before the World Championships, Léna Gérault and the French Team are going to conquer the European title in Munich, in the OlympiaPark. A race led by the blue-white-red team!

The 4.2km long course put the bodies to the test, as did the weather. More than just a rehearsal race for the world championships next weekend, all the participants wanted to make a good impression in Munich to build up their confidence.
Léna Gérault 13th, french team in gold

3rd line start for Léna Gérault at this European Championship. The rain falls on the line, and from the start, the French riders make their mark. The freshness of Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and Loana Lecomte, who did not participate in the two North American World Cups, was felt. They both run away and widen the gaps. Léna managed to hang on on this muddy, physical track on which she had to remain lucid to avoid slipping or mechanical problems. Léna feels better and better on the race and after five laps of effort and overtaking, signs a beautiful 13th place. The European level is such that all these girls will meet again next weekend in Les Gets for the World Championships. A season objective for some, a life objective for others, the iridescent jersey is a dream, accessible for the regulars of the podiums as well as for the outsiders, because on a one-day race, anything can happen!

“The French team did a great performance, it’s great to see the French at this level and it’s a good way for the next weekend. It was a nice last rehearsal for Léna who will rest this week to be at the top on Sunday! Tatiana Tournut and Mathis Guay will also be there, we can’t wait to compete! ”
