KTM VITTORIA TEAM
SKF French Cup #5 – Levens, France
The Grand Pré de Levens was the scene of this last round of the 2022 French Cup. On a changing and muddy course, the athletes fought hard to climb on the highest steps. A double 2nd place for Léna, a victory for Mathis, a successful weekend for the KTM Vittoria Team.

This weekend the very last official XCO race of the season took place in the Alpes-Maritimes, the SKF French Cup of Levens. A few kilometres from Nice, we could have imagined beautiful weather conditions to finish this 2022 season. But not at all… A torrential rain came down offering epic riding conditions that the KTM Vittoria Team managed to get on the podium several times.
Léna Gérault – 2nd XCC & XCO

Léna Gérault ends this XC season on a high note. The last few weeks have been extremely intense as Léna has raced all the World Cups (9 out of 9) as well as the different championships. The fatigue is felt and the physical and mental freshness are not at their peak. However, it is still with the same determination and desire to win that Léna Gérault took part in the two race formats in Levens. In the XCC, she finished in 2nd place on the wheel of Noémie Garnier and second again on Sunday in the XCO, behind Lucie Urruty. Now there is only one bib left to complete the 2022 season on the Roc d’Azur Marathon where Léna will wear the colours of the French champion in the discipline.
Mathis Guay wins !

After the rain had completely soaked the circuit, turning it into a giant mud bath, certainly beneficial for the skin but not for the mechanics, the U23s took the start. As always, they start with a lot of energy, Mathis manages to get away and to make the gap. By negotiating lap after lap the changes of tracks on the course, he manages to impose his rhythm and wins with nearly a minute. An ideal finish to close a very good year which announces great things for 2023.
